Then you should swing by Denmark for Roskilde July 2nd-5th. I went several years ago, puts American music festivals to shame IMO.

All european festivals put Americans to shame, i saw my favorite bands Trivium, Bullet for my Valentine and several others in europe, and i saw a few here and there randomly in the u.s, wow, its like they feel so much more alive in europe, bigger crowds, more pitcircles, it pumps them up to perform better imo.

Exactly why I prefer Rothbury, NOTHING like what you just described. Except for huge crowds (tens of thousands yea.) You don't know festivals until you've been to Rothbury.
